As an Instructor for the School for the Arts, you will play a vital role in teaching and inspiring students in your area of artistic expertise. Your week-to-week responsibilities will include designing lesson plans, leading lessons or classes, providing constructive feedback to students, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will also collaborate with other staff and assist in organizing events, performances, or showcases when applicable.

This is a contract role based in Lansing, MI.

• Proficiency in the relevant artistic discipline, such as music, drama, dance, or visual arts
• Experience in teaching, mentoring, or coaching students in a learning environment
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple responsibilities
• A passion for the arts and a strong desire to encourage creativity and self-expression in students
• Experience working with children and youth is a plus
• Background in educational institutions or arts programs preferred
