Responsibilities- Operate within Air Lift Guiding Principles: respect, innovation, continuous improvement, integrity.
- Manage Applications team to deliver world-class air suspension kits.
- Enable direct reports: remove obstacles, supply resources to increase their efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead cross‑department, supplier, and customer collaboration and cooperation.
- Organize APQP, ECR, CAR, etc. projects and tasks; delegate to team.
- Empower team to take responsibility and make decisions.
- Create environment of open, honest communication.
- Review and challenge deliverables/output to be world‑class.
- Suspension product development experience (min 5 years), including gathering customer requirements, creating comprehensive product specifications, managing contractor/supplier development programs, coordinating prototype builds and lab testing/validation, defining and managing customer integration of system, and in‑field support of customer including testing and development.
- Project management experience (min 2 years) including cross‑disciplined team task management using Gantt charts, Gantt creation and active revision to overcome obstacles, and ability to technically lead and manage multiple projects.
- Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. - Automotive or commercial truck systems experience.
- Structured product development (APQP) experience including DFMEA, DVP.
- Ability to generate detailed reports and communicate clearly using MS Office tools.
- Team player: able to work on multiple projects in a dynamic work environment.
