Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 per year (estimate).

Position Summary & ObjectiveAs a Project Engineer, you will work across the entire project lifecycle, from conception to completion, performing project reviews, structuring components, and creating shop routers. New parts or equipment may require design work using Solid Works, and repair/rebuild jobs will apply engineering principles to evaluate and refurbish parts.
Essential Functions- Generate engineered work scope and labor/material estimates in coordination with sales and customers.
- Create repair solutions, value‑added improvements, and design concepts for existing heavy manufacturing equipment.
- Produce repair/new component prints, workflow documents, and assembly prints as required.
- Maintain project schedules and coordinate resources accordingly.
- Interact daily with purchasing, sales, and production teams.
- Report regularly on project status.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience in the steel, rebuilding, or machine shop industries (preferred).
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Solid Works software.
- Ability to create new prints and modify existing ones to align with manufacturing routing.
- Apply knowledge of engineering principles to mechanical systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
- Coordinate and monitor all production aspects, including manufacturing/repair methods and fabrication.
- Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering solutions.
- Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Recommend design modifications to eliminate system malfunctions.
- Analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and data for feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.
- Manage multiple projects of varying difficulty and duration simultaneously.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Adapt to a fast‑paced environment and changing priorities.
- Manage, plan, and coordinate project activities to meet goals within time and cost parameters.
