TollingMarket Lead
The Tolling Market Lead partners with local area teams to cultivate and manage client relationships with toll agencies worldwide. The role champions the identification and development of projects and programs for toll facility clients, enhancing and expanding HDR’s suite of toll‑industry services.
Services to the Tolling Market- AET conversions for existing facilities
- Planning and Design services for systems including technology, payment methods, and advisory services
- Mobility and operational technology services including ATST, ITS, CAV, tolling system development and operations, managed lanes, ZEM and OT cybersecurity
- Advisory services including asset management, ROW, value engineering, funding and finance
- Responsible for the growth and success of tolling services and programs for toll road and toll facility clients.
- Partner with local area business development leaders and business group managers to research and share knowledge of trends and drivers within the tolling market.
- Support teams in identifying, pursuing, and delivering tolling opportunities where HDR can compete and deliver professional services.
- Build client relationships with toll agencies and authorities, leveraging established relationships.
- Collaborate with TBG region directors to evaluate and prioritize investments capturing tolling client opportunities across their regions.
- Serve as HDR’s strategy lead for presence and leadership in industry organizations, including IBTTA and others.
- Provide professional development for staff delivering services to toll clients.
- Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
- Recognized leader in the toll roads/toll facilities space
- Proven ability to set and execute strategy for growth of a practice in the tolling market
- Established relationships with major toll clients and DOTs
- Bachelor’s Degree in architecture, engineering, planning, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of industry experience
- Experience developing and managing strategic marketing programs for architectural, engineering, and planning services
- Experience managing a wide range of client relationships and specific program or project pursuits
- Experience in staff development, including recruiting, career paths, and professional growth
- Active involvement with industry associations and maintaining a visible profile in the market sector
- Ability to work cooperatively with various directors and managers across HDR’s business groups
- Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and participation in employee‑owned culture
