Technical Coordinator Tecomet, Inc Position Summary
Provides support to Manufacturing regarding specific needs by performing the following duties. The role requires the above to be accomplished within Tecomet’s principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win first culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics.
Responsibilities- Ability to develop part routers and bill of materials in support of new program launches.
- Create detailed process documentation for all product/product families.
- Assess baseline process performance via quality and manufacturing feedback.
- Identify and resolve process related failures and champion process improvement opportunities to achieve performance targets. If data supports change, create plan and implement improvements.
- Documents engineering and process changes.
- Assist in quantifying improvements (i.e. process changes, engineering changes, quality improvements, labor reduction, return on investment, etc.).
- Assist in the development and implementation of statistical process control, capability studies, and research and development.
- Acquires information from current ERP and/or PDM software systems to support daily job functions.
- Attends seminars and training as needed.
- Support RMA activity including fielding customer complaints from the Quality Dept, RMA issuance, investigation, change activities to support resolution, part inspection, problem solving, and working with the Finance Team relative to credit issuance. Work well under pressure and to remain flexible to changing schedules and demands.
- Conducts some basic project leadership responsibilities.
- Additional duties as requested by management.
- Possess a minimum of an associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience using ERP and PDM software systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise judgment.
- Knowledge of statistical process control and Lean methodologies.
- Knowledge of 3D CAD modelling software.
- Forging and Machining Background.
- Product knowledge.
