- This position is for a Quality Engineer within OEM & AMO Legacy Division.
- The role will be responsible for assisting in maintenance and management of OEM & AMO Legacy quality systems and procedures.
- The candidate in this role will utilize his/her professional and technical abilities to collaborate with different departments within client and its customers to ensure that the product and the repair processes are both compliant and conforming to AS9100 and customer specific quality requirements.
- This position will involve:
Reviewing Blueprints & Work instructions to ensure compliance to all applicable Tech Data. - The identification & reporting of Inspection requirements based on blueprints, material specifications, and customer specific requirements.
- Assist in the development of effective inspection plans. Assist in data driven root cause and corrective action based on the voice of the customer and Nonconformance management.
Key Responsibilities:

- Review blueprints developed by Design engineering to ensure they meet customer quality requirements and needs.
- Review work instructions developed by Manufacturing Engineering to ensure compliance and conformance to technical data and clients quality system.
- Review Purchase orders to ensure compliance with technical data and Pratt Whitney's quality system.
- Assist in creating inspection plans and reports using various inspection software platforms.
- Use industry standard RCCA methodologies to collaborate with multiple disciplines within clients to develop and implement continuous improvement.
- Regularly scheduled internal process and product audits as assigned. Basic
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of Quality or Engineering experience
- BA or BS required
- Able to read, comprehend and interpret Blueprints, Military and Aerospace standards and requirements
- RCCA / CAPA
- Able to Communicate effectively to all organizational levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft O365 suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CAM Software Experience (Master Cam, Siemens NX Cam or similar)
- Familiarity with inspection fixturing and assembly jig practices
- CAD Software Experience (Siemens NX preferred)
- Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO
9000
