Key Responsibilities- Develop and design new products, components, and assemblies for manufacturing.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and specifications. Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to optimize performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Conduct design analysis, simulations, and prototyping to validate concepts and ensure functionality.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and smooth implementation.
- Identify and implement design improvements for existing products to enhance performance, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot design-related issues and provide engineering support during production.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Inventor, Creo, CATIA).
- Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, welding).
- Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Knowledge of material science and selection for manufacturing applications.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with advanced GD&T application and tolerance stack‑up analysis.
- Familiarity with CAM software or CNC programming principles.
- Proficiency in scripting or automation for CAD software (e.g., Python, VBA).
- Experience with specific advanced manufacturing processes (e.g., Additive Manufacturing, Composites, Robotics).
