Senior Transportation Engineer

As Environmental Engineer Lead for Value Engineering, you will work with a group of talented like-minded individuals in designing innovative civil engineering solutions that exceed customer expectations. We are looking for an experienced engineer with established project management skills to join our team as we connect people and communities by providing innovative transportation solutions to the greater Lansing and Detroit areas.

Specifically, you will:

• Interacting with clients and team members
• Negotiating and managing contracts, budgets, schedules and resources
• Assist with proposals
• Coordinates compliance and enforcement with other state and local agencies
• Identify Risks and develop strategies to manage them effectively and efficiently

• Lead and mentor staff on NEPA process services
• Guide technical staff
• Provide technical direction and guidance to staff as well as hands-on design
• Collaborate with Leadership Team
• Attend project meetings
• Attend various Municipal Governing Body meetings

• Develop and manage client relationships
• Develop and manage client expectations to deliver projects
• Problem solve changes that may arise on the project delivery with the client

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
• Preferred P.E. License
• Proficient with various design software
• Must be able to obtain authorization to work in the United States
• Transportation Experience

Preferred:
Project Management Certification

Details:
This is a full-time, salaried/exempt position; general office hours are 8 am – 5 pm weekdays with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
