Summary

Primary Duties
  • Be fully engaged and consistently look for improvement measures and solutions to issues that hinder your ability to be successful.
  • Process residential mortgage loans for all programs offered by Dart Bank in a quality consistent with all company policies and procedures as well as meeting all regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a pipeline of loans and ensure timely and compliant flow through the process.
  • Contact all borrowers within 24 hours of receiving the file to introduce yourself and request outstanding documentation.
  • Obtain and review necessary loan documentation and update Encompass as needed prior to submitting to Underwriting for loan approval.
  • Monitor and ensure closing dates and company deadlines are met.
  • Follow company policies and procedures as directed. Never employ workarounds.
  • Communicate with buyers, sellers, title companies, builders, and agents.
  • Communicate with borrowers and third parties to obtain loan documentation both verbally and via email.
  • Effectively communicate with Mortgage Bankers and their assistants to ensure the processing and underwriting components are completed in time to meet the closing date.
  • Obtain and verify that all underwriting conditions are received, reviewed, and cleared by the underwriter, and prepare the file for submission to the Closing Department.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies with data entry and/or documentation received.
  • Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating and cooperating with all internal and external customers.
  • Keep abreast of changes in policies and procedures, standards, and regulations applicable to the company and the mortgage industry. Able to manage high volume of activity and maintain production goals.
  • Adaptability and candor:
    Work with newest technology in the mortgage industry. Provide feedback to improve our products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle delicate situations with diplomacy and tact.
  • Actively participate in and advocate for the bank’s training and development programs and commitment to learning.
  • Effective and timely communication with the Underwriter regarding any changes made to the loan file.
  • Responsible for data integrity, completeness, accuracy, time frames and effectively manage e‑folder/conditions.
  • Bring any issues to management/team lead as soon as they arise.
  • Work as a team to ensure best practices, efficiencies, and brainstorming ways to improve.
  • Adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education / Training

Minimum of high school diploma; college degree preferred.

Experience

6 months to two years of prior mortgage loan processing experience, including experience with web‑based automated underwriting systems, loan origination systems, and working with correspondent lenders preferred. Government lending experience preferred but not required.

Mortgage Processing Manager.
