Physical Premium Auditor

Position Overview

Midwest Technical Inspections (MTI) seeks experienced physical premium auditors to work on an independent contractor basis throughout the state of Michigan. MTI provides nationwide premium audit services for clients in the insurance industry and conducts audits of Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Garage Liability and Auto policies primarily.

• Perform physical premium audits for Workers Compensation, Commercial General Liability and Garage Liability policies.
• Examine financial records to determine the correct premium basis and exposures.
• Complete quality, accurate, and timely audit reports using company software.
• Deliver superior internal and external customer service.

• Minimum of 2 years Premium Audit experience and knowledge of all lines of coverage including General Liability, Garage Liability, and Workers Compensation.
• Proficiency with payroll documents and financial statements.
• Working knowledge of class codes, PAAS, ISO, NCCI and state rules.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to independently manage assigned audits.
• Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, high-speed Internet and computer access.
• Ability to work independently and have a solid sense of self-motivation and self-discipline.

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5 years Premium Audit experience
• APA and/or CPCU Designation
• Proficiency with Nexus Audit Software
