Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the Bridges Crisis Unit Coordinator, Adult Mental Health Services (AMHS), provides a supportive atmosphere for consumers, responds to emergency situations and monitors program activity. Aids clinicians and interacts with consumers in a short-term crisis intervention program. Must be able to problem solve crisis situations and intervene with consumers both individually and in group settings. Candidate is responsible for obtaining and sharing information with therapists in the CMHA-CEI system.
Candidate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and secure environment. This position involves preparing meals for up to 16 residents.
Possession of high school diploma or G.E.D. required. Six months of experience working with persons with emotional impairments is required. Required to work weekends and CMHA-CEI observed holidays. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both orally and in writing is required. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is required.
Conditional Employment RequirementsEmployment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a criminal background check (including fingerprinting), a physical exam, and verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record. Must be able to pass a physical exam annually. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
Salary/Hours$20.82 hourly plus $3.35 Stipend Tier Pay for working in the BCU. 0-19 hours per week, hours are NOT guaranteed. Relief position – filling in for regular staff. Shifts include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Required to work weekends and CMHA-CEI observed holidays.
