Job Details:

• Level I trauma center experience required with minimum 2 years of nursing experience

• Work 3 weekends (Friday-Sunday) per 4-week schedule - may work 1, 2, or all 3 weekend days

• Float to Pediatrics Emergency Department as needed

• No on-call responsibilities

• Patient ratios range from 1:5-6, could be up to 1:8 during high census and holidays

• Care for patients of all ages including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

• Daily census approximately 250 patients with 100-bed emergency department

• Required certifications:
Michigan RN license, ACLS, BCLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, NIH

• ENPC certification preferred

• EPIC charting experience required

• Must complete 36 hours of orientation and 5 hours of non-billable modules before working

• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required

• Preferred experience includes continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration, and triage

• Work with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

• First-time travelers accepted

• All certifications must be active by start date - no pending certifications allowed
