Job Details:

• Will be primarily assigned to behavioral health unit within the emergency department

• Work 3 weekends (Friday-Sunday) per 4-week schedule - may work 1, 2, or all 3 days of the weekend

• Patient ratios of 1:5-6, potentially up to 1:8 depending on patient volume and holidays

• Floating required to Pediatric Emergency Department if necessary

• No on-call responsibilities

• 36 hours of orientation required

• Must complete mandatory modules before starting work (5 hours, non-billable)

• Required certifications:
State license, ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, NIH

• Preferred certification: ENPC

• Level I trauma experience required

• Minimum 2 years emergency room experience required

• EPIC charting system experience required

• Must have experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

• Preferred experience with continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration, and triage

• Care for patients of all age groups from infants to geriatrics

• Daily census of approximately 250 patients with 100 beds

• Maximum 5-day RTO policy with all time off requests submitted at time of application

The emergency department provides comprehensive care with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. The facility maintains high standards for emergency care and requires extensive experience and certifications from their nursing staff.
