Job Details:

• Level I Trauma Center emergency department position accepting local and traveling nurses

• Work 3 weekends (Friday-Sunday) per 4-week schedule - may work 1, 2, or all 3 weekend days

• Float to Pediatric ED when necessary

• No on-call requirements

• Patient ratios:
Days 1:5-6, Nights 1:6, can reach up to 1:8 during high volume/holidays

• Care for all age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

• Daily census of 250 patients with 100 bed capacity

• 36 hours of orientation required with non-billable modules (5 hours)

• Must complete module education before working on the floor

• EPIC charting experience required

• 2 years minimum nursing experience required

• Level I trauma experience required

• Required certifications:
Michigan state license (active by start date), ACLS, BLS (AHA preferred), PALS, TNCC, NIH

• Preferred certifications: ENPC

• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required

• Preferred experience includes continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration, and triage

• First-time travelers accepted

• 5-day maximum RTO policy with all requests submitted at time of application

• Documents due Tuesday prior to start date
