Sodexo is seeking an Acute Care Dietitian to join our hospital-based team, delivering evidence-based medical nutrition therapy to diverse patient populations. In this role, you will complete comprehensive nutrition assessments, develop and document care plans, and collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and food service teams to support healing and recovery. You’ll educate patients and families on therapeutic diets, monitor outcomes, and participate in quality and safety initiatives.

- Provide individualized medical nutrition therapy to acute care patients based on physician orders and clinical standards
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, develop care plans, and document in the EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, speech therapists, and food service staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic diets and nutrition-related disease management
- Monitor patient progress, adjust nutrition interventions, and participate in interdisciplinary rounds
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, Sodexo standards, and regulatory/accrediting body requirements
- Support menu planning, diet office accuracy, and safe meal delivery for specialized diets
- Participate in quality improvement, performance metrics, and patient satisfaction initiatives
- Provide staff training on nutrition-related topics and food safety as needed
- Maintain continuing education and professional development to sustain credentialing and best practices
- Clinical nutrition assessment and care planning
- Medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for acute and chronic conditions
- Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
- Interdisciplinary collaboration in hospital settings
- Patient and family nutrition education
- Diet order management and therapeutic menu planning
- Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission)
- Time management and caseload prioritization
- Cultural competency in patient care
- Quality improvement and outcomes tracking
