Role Summary

Doubletree Lansing – Banquets Captain at Aimbridge Hospitality is a full‑time, mid‑senior level management position located in East Lansing, Michigan. Salary ranges $20.00–$20.75 per hour.

• Lead set up, service, and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring alignment with Banquet Event Orders.
• Maintain appearance, service standards, and safety; uphold policy and liquor laws.
• Manage team: assignment, pre‑event huddles, and training of new hires.
• Act as liaison between Sales, Catering, and guests; resolve issues and prevent incidents.
• Coordinate schedules, track wages, manage inventory, oversee beverage service, and handle checks, paperwork, and cash.
• Assist with A/V, attend meetings, support “Lost and Found,” and maintain security of sensitive areas.

• Minimum 1 year progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in hospitality or a related subject is a plus.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Alcohol Awareness Certification, complying with state regulations.
• Excellent communication, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate initiative.
• Strong proficiency in financial tasks and arithmetic.
