The Michigan Civil Service Commission’s MI HR Service Center is seeking a motivated individual who is a team player, highly organized, able to multi-task, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will also possess strong leadership skills.
This position serves as a senior Human Resources Customer Service Representative (HR CSR) in the MI HR Service Center. Responsibilities include monitoring and processing HRMN system reports, reviewing document compliance termination reports, and utilizing insurance carrier portals and secure sites to research and resolve insurance coverage issues. The role also involves initiating and resolving provider update issues reported by customers and processing complex transactions related to net/gross pay adjustments, divorce, and COBRA service requests.
Additional duties include acting as a lead worker to assist HR CSRs in interpreting and resolving escalated or complex customer inquiries. In a backup capacity, this position will process benefit, payroll, and wage assignment documents in the HRMN, DTS, and Content Manager systems.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:- At least four years of customer service experience, preferably in a contact center environment.
- A background in human resources or benefit transactions, with experience using contact center software to manage customer inquiries and cases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
