Network Administrator/Service Desk Agent

- Collaborate with the Director of Information Technology to create and optimize network design topologies and configurations using IT Best Practices.
- Actively supports, participates in, the development and implementation of networking projects, technology upgrades and installations.
- Conduct research on networking best practices, trends, services, protocols, security and standards in support of network improvement efforts.
- Evaluate, provide recommendations for purchasing of networking hardware and software products.
- Communicate clearly, collaborate with security, technical resources and 3rd parties to coordinate ongoing support.
- Adhere to strict change control process and other internal process requirements.
- Adhere to other policies and procedures established by the Director of Information Technologies.
- Prepare and ensure accuracy of documentation, asset database data and knowledgebase solutions for the service desk solution.
- Familiarity with MS Azure networking concepts, implementation and technologies.
- Knowledge and enforcement of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written), excellent presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences while using brevity.
- Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in dynamic and high-pressure environments.
- Ability to mitigate organization risk factors while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, legislation and cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation.
- Flexibility to work on-call and travel, as required.
- Willingness to work beyond established business hours or on call
- Must have fluency in Network Administration.
- Possess ability to provide first-rate customer service.
- Fluency in Microsoft products to include Office 365 Suite, MS SQL Server, MS SharePoint.
- Knowledge of ITTL.
- Ability to enforce established policies and procedures.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Position is not a remote position, 100 percent in Office.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be highly organized.
- Must have the ability to set and manage priorities.
- Must be a team player and work well as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated Flexibility.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Information Technology.
- Possess a degree or diploma in Technology with a focus on computer networking.
- Should have 4-5 years’ network administration experience, supporting LAN/WAN technologies, data transmission protocols, and network security.
- Networking accreditations (Microsoft, Cisco, COMPTIA, Network+, Security+, vSphere) are preferred.
