Job Title: Dev Sec Ops  / Openshift Engineer (Hybernate)

Location: Lansing, MI

Duration: 12 months

Interview Process: Virtual Interview via MS Teams. A screenshot photo of candidate will be required for any interviews as well as a vendor present at beginning of virtual interview to validate candidate.

Accepting local candidates within 2 hours of Lansing ONLY. Position will be hybrid, in office 2 days a week upon start and there is NO REMOTE ONLY option.

This position functions as lead Dev Sec Ops /Azure Dev Ops/Open Shift (Kubernetes) engineer responsible for supporting client’s projects. Contributes considerable business and technical knowledge to complex IT projects. The Dev Sec Ops  / Open Shift (Kubernetes) Engineer will provide leadership and direction, mentoring team members to drive organizational maturity. The Dev Sec Ops / Open Shift (Kubernetes) Engineer will also consult with development teams to ensure platform fit is aligned to the business application requirements.

Additionally, understanding of APIs, micro‑services development, containers and supporting platform technologies is also required.

• Experience with Azure Dev Ops (ADO), Designing and Implementing ADO Wiki, Work Item structures, Pipelines, ADO GIT repos/branches/Pull Requests, and related Standards and Processes.
• Hands‑on experience in automating CI / CD needs on Red Hat Open Shift / OCP, Linux, Windows, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.
• Experience creating ADO Build and Deploy Pipelines to build Apps and container images and deploy using standard ADO tasks and for old and new Java and .Net Apps and integrating with Apache Tomcat, JBoss, SQL Server, Windows, Linux, Oracle, etc.
• Strong experience with Red Hat Open Shift V4.
• Troubleshoot the application issues in Red Hat Open Shift Container Platform environment.
• Experience in creating Build, Deployment, and other CRD config files for applications on Open Shift.
• Hands‑on experience in creating Docker and S2I images, Stateful sets and converting existing docker image to an S2I image and vice versa.
• Working knowledge on Open Shift/Kubernetes and Container Orchestration, Custom Helm charts.
• Knowledge on maintaining docker Image Repository like Quay.
• Experience and ability to creating docker files, images, and containers.
• Deep knowledge and experience with Elastic stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) version 8.X and higher.
• Elastic stack administration, performance and capacity management including Index curation/retention management.
• Logstash and pipeline configuration and grok experience.
• Working knowledge of Elastic Beats Filebeat, Heartbeat.
• Working Experience with Sonar Qube/Coverity/Black Duck and integrating into ADO Pipelines and Pull Request flows.
• Experience with Linux Scripting, .ksh , bash and Python.
• Experience in understanding and debugging Java errors.
• Strong Knowledge of SSL, TCP/IP Networking, LDAP.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills works well with diverse teams and independently.
• Self-starter with excellent organization, planning, detail-oriented documentation, and time management skills.
• Clear and precise verbal and written communication skills.

• 8 years of experience working on Kubernetes / Open Shift.
• 8 years of experience in Linux shell scripting.
• 5 years as an expert in application containerization management.
• 5 years of experience in Dev Sec Ops  practices, infrastructure, scripting/programming.
• Expertise in Open Shift, Azure Dev Ops, ELK Stack, Docker, Sonar Qube, Black Duck, Linux, Bash, Shell, S2I, Python, NGINX, Web Sphere, LDA.
