The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems. This position is within the Agency Services area of DTMB.

This role functions as a first-line manager in a complex work area for the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB), supporting the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).

Under the supervision of the Business Relationship Manager and State Administrative Manager, the Quality Assurance, Content & Security Manager is responsible for overseeing daily functions and activities in the Quality Assurance Analyst, Content Analyst, and Security Analyst teams. Responsibilities include establishing priorities, allocating staff to projects, employee evaluations, developing training plans, analyzing resource capacity versus demand, and managing employee workloads. The manager will also oversee all activities related to quality assurance, content, and security, including processes, policies, and tools for automated test development.

Position Details:

• Position Code: ITM 14
• IT Signing Bonus: Up to $3,500, paid in two installments: $1,750 upon hire and $1,750 after successful completion of a 12-month probationary period. This bonus does not apply to current state employees.

Qualifications:

Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree with at least 21 semester (32 term) credits in fields such as computer science, data processing, information systems, networking, systems analysis, programming, information assurance, IT project management, or mathematics.

Experience: At least three years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, programming/analysis, or project coordination at a P11 level, or one year at a P12 level. Alternatively, three years of experience supervising computer programming or IT staff may substitute for education and experience.
