Position Summary

The Manager, Strategy and Implementations supports the Clinical Informatics Training Team by coordinating new Epic implementations, managing training environment strategy, and driving change management for training initiatives. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure successful training delivery, environment readiness, and continuous improvement. The Manager partners with Principal Trainers, operational, clinical, and technical teams to implement standardized training programs and support large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities Implementation Coordination
  • Support new Epic implementations and large projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and training standards.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams for training environment setup and readiness.
  • Manage upgrade training activities, including content creation, environment updates, and delivery.
Training Environment Strategy
  • Assist in building and maintaining the Epic training environment, ensuring standards, integrity, and security access.
  • Collaborate with Principal Trainers to support environment build and troubleshooting.
Change Management & Adoption
  • Lead change management efforts for training initiatives, including upgrades and workflow redesigns.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms to gather and act on stakeholder input.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Clinical Informatics, IT, Compliance, and operational leaders to align training with workflows, policies, and strategic initiatives.
  • Facilitate effective meetings and communication across teams.
Reporting & Support
  • Provide status updates and reporting on training activities, risks, and decisions needed.
  • Support user education before and after go-live, including incident management related to training.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare informatics, Epic training, or health IT, with at least 2 years in a project or training coordination role.
  • Experience supporting Epic training programs in a healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage training initiatives.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Experience with Epic training environments, including environment build and security access.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and eLearning development tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Epic certification in one or more modules (e.g., Ambulatory, Cadence, Professional Billing).
  • Experience with curriculum development and instructional design for Epic applications.
  • Experience with system governance, policy and procedure documentation.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$54,300.00 - $

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
