• The candidate will serve as a GIS Analyst supporting multiple highly complex applications primarily for the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE).
• Collaborate with development teams by providing advice and guidance as needed to development staff.
• Work closely with Project Managers to ensure project quality, milestones, and deadlines are successfully achieved.
• Develop solutions and streamline spatial data needs through the maintenance and modification of existing web, client/server, and mobile applications.
• Provide additional application development support for the DNR, EGLE, and MDARD Application Development sections as needed.
• Adhere to standards established by the Department of Technology Management and Budget (DTMB) and the Client.
• Develop or approve plans for testing and implementation of web-based, client/server, mobile, and data system applications.
• Evaluate the impact of new technologies and recommend solutions to persistent business and technical challenges.
• Serve as Customer Service liaison to clients and external consultants.
• Maintain current knowledge of evolving IT technologies through continuous learning.
• Support applications running on PC-based, web-based, and mobile platforms.
• Provide support for legacy application development and maintenance activities when required.

• 4 years of experience in GIS, Cartography, CADD, or a related field.
• 4 years of experience developing user interfaces, menus, and macro-level commands.
• Experience performing complex spatial analyses and generating reports according to customer specifications.
• Experience with ArcGIS Online (AGOL) and ArcGIS Portal.
• Experience using ArcGIS Experience Builder and related builder technologies.
• Experience developing Dashboards and analytical reporting tools.

• Create and maintain Basemaps.
• Create Tile Caches.
• Perform Imagery Analysis.
• Develop GIS solutions that create, maintain, or leverage geospatial basemap information.
• Support enterprise geospatial application development and maintenance.

• 4 years of advanced SQL experience.
• Write database scripts, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and SSIS packages.
• Maintain spatial databases.
• Validate spatial and business data.
• Update and maintain metadata for new and existing GIS assets.
• Document database and GIS procedures.

• 4 years of advanced experience in:
  • Unit Testing.
  • System Testing.
  • Regression Testing.
  • Automated Testing.
• Ensure product quality meets client expectations and business requirements.

• 2 years of experience with:
  • C#.NET.
  • ASP.NET.
  • XML.
  • AJAX.
  • HTML.
  • CSS.
  • JavaScript.
  • Transact-SQL (T-SQL).
  • Type Script.
  • Power Apps.

• Knowledge of ADA Compliance with 1+ years of experience.
• Ensure applications meet accessibility and compliance requirements.

• Experience with MS ADO.
• Experience with Git.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Helix.
• Experience with Angular.
• Experience supporting enterprise GIS and web application environments.

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Foreign degrees will be accepted if evaluated as equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor's Degree.
