System Administrator

This role provides technical support and system administration for COTS applications supporting management and budget functions. The position combines Windows and Linux administration, cloud infrastructure, application support, monitoring, networking, security, and solution analysis. The role will work closely with vendors, customers, and technical teams to understand requirements, evaluate options, recommend solutions, and implement application and infrastructure changes.

• Install and configure systems and application components across Windows and Linux environments.
• Provide technical support and administration for COTS applications and configure changes for certain SaaS products.
• Gather and document requirements for application changes and new efforts.
• Research and present options and analyze and recommend technical solutions.
• Support ongoing application and infrastructure changes.
• Work collaboratively with vendors, customers, and other technical teams to execute projects and changes.
• Support monitoring, networks, firewalls, architecture, application and server environments.
• Create architecture diagrams and support architecture-related activities.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and support application and infrastructure security in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and industry standards.
• Configure and support applications within cloud infrastructure.

• 5–7 years of experience installing and configuring systems and application components in Windows and Linux environments.
• 5–7 years of experience gathering/documenting requirements, researching options, analyzing requirements/issues, and recommending solutions.
• Experience with Windows Server 2016 and later.
• Experience with RHEL 7.0 and above.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Tomcat, IIS, MS SQL Management Studio, XML, Power Shell, Azure Dev Ops, and Visio.
• Knowledge of SSO technologies including SAML, OAuth, and OpenID.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, architecture, firewalls, monitoring, and vulnerability remediation.
• Strong analytical skills and extensive experience with Windows/Linux operating systems and application/server support.
• 3–5 years of experience implementing and configuring applications in Azure Cloud infrastructure, including proficiency in Azure services, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code (IAC).
