How You Make An Impact
The Accelerator Operations Manager is responsible for the leadership and management of Niowave’s accelerator operations teams. This role includes oversight of daily operations, technical direction, and strategic planning to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production. You will advocate for safety excellence, drive process improvements, and develop team members through coaching and career development.
What You Need To Succeed

- B.S. degree in a STEM field
- 8+ years of progressive positions in accelerator operations
- 5+ years of supervisory experience managing a team of 15 or more, including career development and succession planning
- Understanding of integrating into a new team/organization, appreciating current state, and making improvements at the right pace
- Strong communication and learning style assessment, connecting with others
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives with successful outcomes
- Experience managing a production team ensuring training & development, shift optimization, and meeting organizational objectives
- Strategic thinking with creative problem solving and decision‑making, interpreting data to manage risk
- Proven ability to lead and develop staff and teams
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
Great to Have
- Advanced degree in a STEM field
- 12+ years of progressive positions in accelerator operations
- 8+ years of supervisory experience managing a team of 20+ with career development and succession planning
- 5+ years of experience leading teams in an accelerator and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Nuclear material management experience
Other Things To Know
- Full‑time position
- Standard operating hours Monday thru Friday 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., with 24/7/365 shift production activities
- Regular working hours Monday – Friday with expectation of adjusting to meet shift work requirements and engage with staff outside of standard hours as needed
- Multiple locations within the Lansing area and travel between locations expected
