Program / Project Manager, Operations Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The role involves program management and support for the Michigan Credit Union Foundation (MCUF). Working alongside the MCUF Executive Director, the MCUF Program Manager will oversee various MCUF functions, such as communications, fundraising, grant and program coordination, young professional support, and board relations.
This is a hybrid role requiring one to two days in the Lansing office per week.
- Assist with the execution of the MCUF strategic plan and budget.
- Guide and support the MCUF Executive Director in all areas of MCUF board relations including board meetings, communications, and board elections.
- Provide program management support for MCUF programs and initiatives including grant management, financial counseling training program, financial reality fairs, and scholarships.
- Oversee young professional development programs, including CU Spark Tank, as well as serve as a liaison between FUELmi and MCUL/MCUF.
- Provide support with design and execution of fundraising events aimed at supporting MCUF.
- Provide program management to oversee Children’s Miracle Network fundraising and committee support.
- Participate in project coordination and management for initiatives for other MCUL & Affiliates teams as requested.
- Program Management: Proficient in managing complex projects, from planning to execution, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Team Partnership: Demonstrated ability to build and partner effectively within teams, fostering collaboration among various stakeholders, including management, staff, policymakers, volunteers, League members, and business partners.
- Communication: Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to deliver effective public presentations.
- Multi-Tasking: Superior organizational skills, adept at multitasking, prioritizing assignments, and managing conflicting deadlines.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and projects.
- Financial Expertise: Knowledge of project budgeting and management, enabling the recommendation and implementation of appropriate strategies for education programs, conferences, certificate programs, and marketing initiatives.
- Independence: Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision to meet project deadlines.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the financial industry, specifically credit unions.
- One year to three years of similar or related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or comparable combination of education and experience required.
- Knowledge of Foundations/nonprofit organizations and operation.
- Proven project management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Knowledge of project budgeting and implementation of education, conference, and marketing strategies.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Position will require travel throughout Michigan to support company events.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS- Valid driver’s License.
- Industry certification designation, such as LERN “Certified Program Planner” (CPP) or Convention Liaison Council’s “Certified Meeting Professional” (CMP)
