ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Coordinator the Bridges Unit Adult Mental Health Services, serves as a staff nurse performing a variety of duties depending on the area of assignment. Responsible for the orderly setup, administration of & maintenance of medications including administering prescribed oral medications & administering injections. Participates in interdisciplinary planning of care and treatment, ensuring the coordination of medical services to consumers served by the program.
May render general nursing care and provide medical support in accordance with approved nursing practice. Assists in coordination of care with other treatment team providers including case managers and physicians. Provides nursing consultation regarding consumers to clinical staff. Assists with and facilitates consumer groups to address overall physical and psychological health awareness and improvement.
Possession of an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree or a diploma in nursing required. Possession of a State of Michigan license as a Registered Nurse required. A minimum one-year experience in Nursing with the mentally ill and/or developmentally disabled population required. Must demonstrate competent computer skills in database programs and word processing. Access to reliable means of transportation for job related use required.

Salary/Hours$30.49 - $36.38 hourly plus $3.35 Stipend Tier Pay for working in the BCU. Typically 0-19 hours weekly but may get a max of 40 per week.
