American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN for a night-shift float pool position requiring active MI licensure and prior telemetry experience.
Requirements- Active MI RN license required at time of consideration
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of RN telemetry experience required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) training required
- ACLS and additional NIHSS certification preferred
- Compact license not accepted
- Float pool position within a tertiary teaching hospital setting
- Cardiac, oncology, women's and children's health, and medical/surgical units may be included in float assignments
- Uses Cerner EMR
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Responsible for continuous monitoring of patient vital signs and heart rhythms using EKG and automated monitoring equipment
- Provides care for acutely ill patients, including those stepping down from intensive care
- Local candidates within a 35-mile radius of the facility are considered local travelers
- Requests for time off (RTO) limited to no more than 5 days
