American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level I trauma experience and an active MI RN license.

• Level I Trauma Center ER with Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency Department
• Treats a combined adult and pediatric patient population including trauma, stroke, and cardiac cases
• Current patient ratios run 1:5-6, potentially up to 1:8 depending on volume and holidays
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Required to work 3 weekends (Fri-Sun) per 4-week schedule, which may include 1-3 weekend days
• Floating to Pediatrics possible
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active MI RN license required by start date (compact license not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Level I trauma center experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• ENPC certification preferred
• Certifications must be active and may not pend beyond contract start date
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration preferred
• Triage experience preferred
• Proof of high school level education required

• Responsibilities include emergency care across trauma, stroke, cardiac, and pediatric patient populations
• Pre-start modules required, completed prior to assignment start and self-reported
• Epic training provided during orientation
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Returning staff members must wait 12 months after separation before reapplying
• Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed per assignment, which must be submitted at time of consideration
• No RTO permitted on 10/31 or 9/4-9/7
