Quality Technician

Job Summary:
The Quality Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of quality inspection and verification tasks to ensure products meet internal and customer requirements. This role supports quality, APQP, engineering efforts, mentors' junior technicians, and participates in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
What You'll Do:
- Perform advanced dimensional, visual, and functional inspections of components, assemblies, and finished goods using appropriate measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gages, CMMs).
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and work instructions
- First article inspections (FAI), in-process, and final inspections; prepare related documentation such as ISIRs, PPAPs, and control plans
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventative action activities (RCA, 5-Whys, Fishbone, etc.)
- Review and update quality documents such as inspection procedures, work instructions, and checklists
- Interface with cross-functional teams including production, product management (APQP), engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality issues.
- Assist in audits (internal, supplier, customer, or third-party) and maintain traceability of quality records in accordance with ISO 9001 and/or other relevant processes.

- Operate and program automated inspection equipment where applicable (e.g., CMM, vision systems).
What You'll Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing/production environment
- ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or similar certification
- Strong working knowledge of IOA 9001 or equivalent quality management systems
- Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T
- Experience with PPAP, SPC, FMEA, and other quality tools
- Familiarity with the principles of metrology and gage calibration
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
