Role contextCoinbase Institutional Sales Team empowers institutional clients by providing tailored solutions that leverage Coinbase's suite of cryptocurrency products and services. Team members engage with a diverse range of clients to identify needs and demonstrate how Coinbase can meet them, with responsibilities including prospecting potential clients, supporting senior sales efforts, and nurturing existing relationships to drive growth and client satisfaction. Ideal candidates are passionate about the crypto industry, have strong communication skills, and thrive in a dynamic environment.

Qualification:
Conduct targeted research to identify potential clients (e.g., institutions, corporates, hedge funds). Initiate outbound communication (email, calls, social media) to qualify leads and introduce Coinbase's value proposition. - Sales Support: Assist senior sales team members in all phases of the sales cycle, including preparing presentations, proposals, and client-facing materials. Schedule and coordinate meetings, follow up on outstanding items, and ensure seamless communication.
- Product Knowledge & Evangelism: Develop a deep understanding of Coinbase's product suite (e.g., Coinbase Prime, financing, staking, derivatives). Articulate complex crypto concepts clearly and persuasively to prospective clients.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
- Client Relationship Nurturing: Support ongoing relationships with existing clients, addressing inquiries, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling or up-selling in collaboration with senior team members.
- Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments within crypto. Provide market feedback to internal product, marketing, and leadership teams.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, Legal, and Operations to ensure a cohesive client experience and achieve goals.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize sales processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the client journey.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years institutional sales experience at a Tier 1 Exchange or Financial institution.
- 3+ years managing a client portfolio including institutional clients, high-net-worth individuals, private banking clients, and clients from brokers, futures institutions, or commercial banks.
- Fierce passion for the rapidly evolving crypto industry and belief in Coinbase's mission.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate complex subjects clearly and concisely.
- Highly self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with an "owner" mindset.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous environment.
- A "can-do" attitude and willingness to embrace challenges and continuously learn.
- Collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively within a high-performing team.
- Proficiency in G Suite and experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
- Prior experience in sales, business development, customer service, or a client-facing role is beneficial.
