Water Treatment Sales Representative

Job Overview

Chem‑Aqua, the wholly‑owned water treatment subsidiary of NCH Corporation, is seeking a Water Treatment Sales Consultant to support our growth strategy in the greater Lansing/Central, MI area. • Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets and trade factors.
• Lead all sales activities in the assigned territory, including lead generation, cold calling, and appointment setting.
• Promote and sell maintenance services to new and existing Chem‑Aqua customers.
• Perform hands‑on servicing of accounts, including chemical testing, calibration and repair of chemical feed‑related equipment, and visual system inspections.
• Schedule service and sales calls – including daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
• Identify new business needs and opportunities and develop customized solutions for customers.

• Must reside in the greater Lansing/Central, MI area.
• 2+ years of water treatment experience.
• High school diploma; college degree preferred.
• Preferred experience in water hygiene, environmental health and safety, or secondary disinfection.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience working with teams in multiple locations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Highly motivated self‑starter.
• Good physical ability – the job requires frequent walking to and from the worksite.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
