Annuity Sales Specialist

To drive life insurance and annuity sales through direct customer engagement and consultative sales practices. Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing customers by identifying financial protection and retirement planning needs, educating customers and agents on available solutions, and recommending suitable products and services. Support organizational sales and retention objectives through proactive outreach, needs-based selling, exceptional customer service, and collaboration with internal and external business partners.

Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and existing customers to identify life insurance and annuity sales opportunities.

Conduct needs-based sales conversations to assess customer financial goals, risk tolerance, and protection needs.

Educate customers on life insurance and annuity products, features, benefits, and available options.

Recommend suitable solutions based on customer objectives and applicable suitability requirements.

Manage sales opportunities throughout the sales process, including prospecting, consultation, application submission, follow-up, and policy placement. Some servicing may be required as needed.

• Associate's degree in marketing, insurance, business, or related field required, or equivalent experience may be considered.
• ALMI and/or ACS designations required, or equivalent education may be considered.
• Minimum three years' experience in insurance industry required.
• Strong computer skills and understanding of software development and quality assurance principals required.
• Knowledge of various approaches to the marketing, customer service, and sales.
• Active State of Michigan insurance license in Life required, or must be obtained within 35-days of employment.
• Annuity Best Interest CE Certification required or must be obtained within 60-days of employment.

• Experience in a sales role required, Life/Annuity Sales strongly preferred.
• Experience with life insurance and annuities sales, sales concepts, and product understanding preferred.

• This is a Hybrid position working both Remotely from the State of Michigan, and On-site at the Farm Bureau Center located in Lansing, Michigan.
