Mac Allister CAT's Field Swing - Heavy Equipment (HE) is responsible for visiting customer sites to perform small repairs, updates, and services on the road. The Field Swing - HE works on a busy schedule, often to a customer's demands, but gets the opportunity to directly interact with customers day in day out, to better understand their needs to provide exceptional service.

• Minimum:
  Chauffeur's License and Medical Card; work in a 1-ton truck with a max of 3000-pound mounted crane.
• Perform Service Letter Updates (Caterpillar sourced) limited to less than one day and not needing a large crane and/or experienced computer diagnostics.
• Updates, removal, and installation of GPS units.
• Assist on larger jobs.
• Not used in any Emergency Call rotation.
• Adjust V-Belts, track tension, and other mechanical adjustments.
• Tightening or replacing loose or missing bolts or fasteners.
• Replacing a Ground Engaging Tool, bolt‑on teeth or tips, or bolt‑on cutting edge on small loaders.
• Replacing lamp, lens, or bulb in the electrical system.
• Replacing a blown fuse or a bad switch (without performing diagnostics).
• Replacing a seat pad or armrest.
• Replacing wiper blades.
• Replacing cab hardware such as knobs, door latches, and steps.
• Repairing or replacing safety equipment such as a backup alarm (without diagnostics), seat belt, or mirrors.
• Reel load bank/generator cables.
• Repair, fabricate and replace hoses.
• Retrieve codes, download, and perform minor calibrations.

• Strong experience performing service and maintenance on heavy equipment.
• Track record of being punctual at work.
• Strong communication skills to gather information from customers as required.
• Possess a Chauffeur's license or hold a clean driving record to gain a Chauffeur's license and possess DOT Medical Card before first day on the job.
