The Mechanic will perform inspections and preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment such as semi‑tractors, trailers, heavy equipment and machinery, including brakes, suspensions, electrical, lighting, and mechanical components.
Responsibilities include:
- Repair hydraulics, electrical, and other mechanical components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to identify repair needs.
- Prepare and complete required paperwork.
- One plus year of related diesel mechanic or related military training.
- Knowledge of welding and torching helpful, but not necessary.
- Mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
- Related experience and knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and techniques used in repairing semi‑tractors & trailers.
- Strong communication skills, effective communicator.
- Proven ability to work alone or in a team setting.
- Attention to accuracy and detail.
- Demonstrated safety consciousness.
- Relevant military experience.
