The Michigan State Lottery is looking for a dependable, honest, motivated, and hardworking individual with a positive attitude and strong ethical standards to join our team!
The Michigan State Lottery was established under the authority of Public Act 239 of 1972 to generate funds to support Michigan’s public-school system and generates revenue through the sale of Lottery tickets at retail locations and over the internet. Profits from lottery revenue are used to supplement state education programs.
Responsibilities- Monitor and analyze the new and established statewide payment acceptance programs and processes for the Lottery’s retail and online gaming systems. Provide planning and oversight for all claim and payment processes for traditional and digital gaming. Serve as the unit liaison with regional offices, digital team and Lottery Central in regard to prize payment processes and procedures.
- Serve as the Financial Gaming Services Unit policies and procedures coordinator. Provide oversight of all new Lottery directives, policies, and procedures and evaluate the workflow and financial gaming impact on the division and the Lottery. As new gaming programs and initiatives are implemented, it is extremely urgent to have a focused and centralized effort to keep Lottery policies and procedures current.
- Serve as the Agency Security Administrator for Great Plains accounting System, Treasury Debt Inquiry application, Centralized Electronic Payment Authorization System (CEPAS), as well as backup for the state-wide accounting system (SIGMA).
- Serve as Records Management Liaison overseeing all Financial Gaming Services records management functions.
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
ExperienceFour years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
Background Check- To be considered for this position, you must submit to the following initial background check requirement(s). Under Civil Service Regulation 2.07, you may be sanctioned from applying to positions with the State of Michigan, permanently or up to (3) three years, should you fail to pass/submit to the pre-employment drug test.
- Under Civil Service Regulation 3.06, you may be sanctioned from applying to positions with the State of Michigan, if you make any false statements or omissions of a material fact during the selection process.
- Under Civil Service Rule 2-7, all persons who are not currently state employees must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test. This urine sample test must be administered within 24 hours, or your offer may be rescinded. Positions within the Bureau of State Lottery will require a criminal history background check.
