The Programmer / Full-Stack Java Developer supports the Department of Transportation’s Project Development and Maintenance programs. This role works within an agile development team to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality code while collaborating with project managers, application owners, and UI/UX team members. The developer must demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while contributing to both backend and front-end development efforts.

• Work with project managers, application owners, and resource managers to support application needs.
• Collaborate with agile development teams to organize work, develop features, perform testing, and support deployments.
• Perform full-stack development using Java and front-end technologies.
• Participate in developing user interfaces and responsive applications with UI/UX team members.
• Program using Java and IDE tools such as Eclipse or JBoss Developer Studio.
• Develop user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks.
• Develop applications using Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Data, and related frameworks.
• Use JPA or Hibernate frameworks for data persistence.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables.
• Develop responsive applications using HTML5, CSS, Data Tables, jQuery, and jQuery UI.
• Work with Oracle 12C or 19C databases.
• Perform additional development tasks and complex programming assignments as needed.
• Support UI/UX design standards as required.

• 3 years programming complex systems using Java and IDE tools (Eclipse/JBoss Developer Studio).
• 2 years programming UIs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks.
• 2 years Spring framework experience.
• 2 years experience with JPA or Hibernate.
• 2 years experience in Agile development environments.
• 2 years experience with Spring Boot, Spring Data, Bootstrap.
• 2 years experience with HTML5, CSS, Data Tables.
• 2 years experience with jQuery and jQuery UI.
• 2 years experience with Oracle 12C or 19C.

• 2 years experience programming with React.js.
• 2 years experience in JBOSS Enterprise environments.
• 2 years SQL or PL/SQL development.
