The assistant basketball coach will support program recruiting and selection of athletes for the sport of basketball. The incumbent will teach and monitor student-athletes’ progress in academics and athletics during their tenure s position focuses on academic success and developing citizenship to ensure outstanding representation of the College, while also developing student‑athletes’ athletic abilities within the sport of basketball. The coach follows rules and guidelines in accordance with NJCAA and MCCAA, works with the Head Coach in developing the preliminary budget, schedules, travel and equipment needs, and may be required to transport athletes using a College-owned vehicle.
Regular on-campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.
Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.
Required Qualifications:- High School Diploma
- Demonstrated knowledge of sports training and strategies
- Good driving record
- Experience with athletics at the Community College level
- Experience coaching baseball at the high school level or above
- Knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations
