Forklift Operator Warehouse

Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring Permanent Full‑Time Forklift Operators and Material Handlers to operate sit‑down forklifts and stand‑up tuggers in a safe, state‑of‑the‑art warehouse environment handling automotive parts.

Schedule & Pay
  • Hourly Pay: $19.15 per hour
  • Overtime Pay: $28.72 per hour
  • Shift Premium: $1.00 when working Third Shift
  • Schedule:

    Third Shift Sunday‑Thursday 10:30 pm‑7:00 am (overtime and occasional Fridays as needed)

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • At least one year of related warehouse or powered industrial truck experience preferred
  • Valid Forklift Operator’s License
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Team player with ability to work in a diverse environment
  • Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, and with a good attendance record
  • Strong initiative and high accuracy even under pressure
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods
  • Adherence to health and safety methods
  • Flexibility to work various shifts
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
Responsibilities
  • Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
  • Accurate picking, packing, audits, tote induction, staging of products, and truck loading/unloading
  • Manage day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
  • Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
  • Execute other duties as assigned to meet performance measurement guidelines of the contract
