- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university
- Holds one of the following:
Preliminary School Social Worker Certificate (PSSWC), Professional School Social Worker Certificate (PSWC), or School Social Worker Permit (SSWP) - Current MI-SW and LARA license required
- School-based social work experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Deliver direct counseling services and interventions to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement intervention plans, and participate actively in the IEP process
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and community resources to support students success and wellbeing
- Provide crisis intervention and serve as an advocate for students and their families
- Maintain thorough records and documentation in compliance with legal and district requirements
