The Front Office Manager is responsible for the successful operation of the hotel. The role includes motivating, leading, supervising and directing the operations of the hotel and its departments.

  • Motivate, and serve as a property leader at the hotel and to the corporate offices and owners.
  • Manage and motivate all front office and guest services personnel with daily supervision to include staffing, training, discipline, scheduling, and visually monitoring performance to ensure adherence to all service and productivity standards to provide guest satisfaction.
  • Check and control room reservations, front office systems, supplies inventory, scheduling, forecasting and department budget to maximize revenue.
  • Compile and prepare financial reports, including rate and availability calendar.
  • Communicate with guests and associates both verbally and in writing to answer questions and provide clear direction in advising and instructing staff in details of work.
  • Organize, conduct and/or attend meetings to obtain and disseminate pertinent information.
Requirements
  • Work directly with department managers to ensure a seamless workflow on a daily basis.
  • Participate in mandatory training.
  • Participate and ensure implementation in sales and marketing programs.
  • Complete random guest-registry audit to assure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain key control and loss prevention programs.
  • Ensure that all procedures, federal and state policies are followed.
  • Report aged open accounts to Support Office Accounting Department.
  • Handle any other requests from the Corporate Office.
Qualifications
  • Previous work experience with Marriott FOSSE system.
  • Previous Supervisor, Front Desk Manager or Manager on Duty job experience.
  • Great personality for higher Guest Services and better working experience with the Front Desk staff.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends available for on call.
  • Knowledgeable in Marriott's Brand Standards.
