Job Purpose:

Coordinate and support the implementation of student-focused services, programs, and activities within the Division of Student Affairs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support and train student staff to assist with operations across auxiliary and event spaces within the Wyoming Union.
  • Coordinate and assist with event setups to ensure meeting rooms and event spaces are prepared according to customer specifications.
  • Provide logistical support for programs and activities, including scheduling, reservations, communications, and event execution.
  • Communicate with customers before, during, and after events to provide excellent customer service and respond to changing needs.
  • Support the upkeep and presentation of public lounge, dining, seating, meeting, and event spaces.
  • Track and manage Union inventory and maintain organized storage and event spaces.
  • Identify building or equipment concerns and communicate needed repairs or additional support to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Ensure event setups and operations comply with applicable University policies, fire code, ADA standards, and other relevant requirements.
  • Work a schedule that may include evenings and weekends to support Union events and operations.

Supplemental Functions:

  • Assist with the management and maintenance of the Wyoming Union's loan and permanent art collection.
  • Assist with communication, scheduling, documentation, record keeping, and other operational needs.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education & experience

Experience:

1-year work-related experience.

Required licensure, certification, registration, or other requirements:
None

Qualifications:

  • Experience coordinating events, event setups, or facility operations
  • Experience working in a college or university setting
  • Working with or training student employees
  • Troubleshooting basic audio/visual or event technology
  • Managing public spaces, inventory, furniture, or equipment
