This is a non-tenure track 9-month faculty position starting Fall 2026. Primary duties include teaching undergraduate and master’s courses (15 credit hours per semester) in the field of Criminal Justice. The program seeks a candidate who can teach a variety of core courses at the undergraduate level, with opportunities to teach elective and master’s courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.
Candidates must be able to deliver content in various formats, including face-to-face, online, and hybrid. Flexibility in scheduling is required, with availability for morning, afternoon, evening, and/or weekend classes. Duties also include serving on departmental, college, and university committees. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.

ResponsibilitiesTeach a variety of core courses at the undergraduate level and, where appropriate, elective and master’s courses in area of expertise. Deliver content in multiple modalities (face-to-face, online, hybrid). Maintain a regular on-campus presence and participate in department, college, and university committees.
QualificationsThe successful candidate must hold a PhD in Criminal Justice or a related field. Candidates who are ABD will also be considered but must have earned a doctorate before August 16, 2026. We prefer candidates committed to undergraduate and graduate education and prepared to teach a variety of Criminal Justice courses at the undergraduate and master’s levels. Experience teaching in multiple modalities is preferred.
Prior experience teaching at an institution of higher education is strongly encouraged.
