Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Urgent Care

DOC-AID Urgent Care is dedicated to providing our community with high-quality, compassionate medical care. We operate from 10 AM to 8 PM, including holidays, seven days a week.

We seek a motivated and experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support our urgent care team. Employees will work on an "A" or "B" schedule at one of our Laredo locations, with daily shifts from 9 AM to 9 PM.

• Check patients in/out, verify insurance, and answer phone calls.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
• Patient intake, including vital signs and medical histories, document in EMR system.
• Maintain examination rooms and assist with basic clinical procedures.
• Provide patient education on treatment, medications, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance patient care and improve workflow.

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program is required.
• Current CMA certification and BLS/CPR certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience; urgent care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical skills, proficiency in EMR, and excellent communication abilities.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays with reliable transportation.
