Hospitality Aide (74966) – Regency Integrated Health Services, LLC

The Hospitality Aide will provide assigned residents with non‑clinical care and services in accordance with directives given by the Charge Nurse. Works under general direction and supervision of the Charge Nurse.

• Follow resident assignment schedule as made by the charge nurse; maintain mental alertness and communicate verbally and in writing information regarding resident condition and care.
• Walk with ambulatory residents or push in a wheelchair as required; safely execute movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting in excess of 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations. Apply manual dexterity when assisting residents with personal needs.
• Combine hair and nail care (excluding the use of clippers) for any assigned residents, applying manual dexterity as required.
• Answer call lights in a timely manner, determine whether the request involves direct care and then carry out the request. Non‑direct‑care examples include helping with TV, telephone, retrieving personal items, providing blankets or pillows, offering food trays or snacks, and refilling water or ice.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑meal grooming, including washing hands and face, and assist residents to and from the dining room.
• Clean water pitchers, keep fresh water at bedside, and offer water or juices multiple times to residents who request and are able to drink independently.
• Maintain proper oral hygiene by assisting residents to brush teeth, providing denture care, and keeping mouths clean.
• Be attentive to residents’ comfort and needs; answer requests promptly and report to the nurse any needs that exceed your ability.
• Knock before entering a resident’s room and request permission to enter.
• Use tactful and appropriate communication in sensitive and emotional situations.
• Promote positive public relations with residents, family members, and guests.
• Observe all residents and report anything unusual or abnormal to the Charge Nurse; safely care for residents who may lack cooperation or become combative.
• Follow safety guidelines; promptly remove and clean up urine or bowel excretions, spills, or other safety hazards.
• Clean wheelchairs, beds, nursing equipment, resident personal hygiene items, and other items as directed; lift at least 25 pounds and remove assistive devices for proper cleaning.
• Safely utilize equipment and report any equipment needing service or repair immediately.
• Participate in emergency fire or disaster drills and in‑service training as scheduled; safely ascend and descend stairwells and assist in an evacuation.
• Follow Universal Safety Precautions to protect self and staff; rinse soiled linens in preparation for laundry, tolerating strong odors and required protective equipment.
• Transport laundry barrels to the laundry room and obtain linens for beds; make unoccupied beds.
• Transport residents to and from daily activities and assist with any active events in the building.
• Perform clerical functions as necessary.
• Maintain regular attendance in accordance with facility policies; perform special duties as assigned.
• Execute any additional duties and tasks assigned by the Administrator, Director of Nursing, and Charge Nurse in accordance with qualifications and training provided.
