Position: Quality Assurance Supervisor, (A266047-2), 210, Public Health Workforce Grant

This position is grant funded. Therefore, it is solely dependent of availability of grant funds.

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing quality assurance and improvement programs and initiatives within the Public Health Department. This role ensures compliance with health regulations, accreditation and programmatic requirements for grant eligibility, evaluates program effectiveness, and fosters continuous improvement in service delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts regular evaluations of public health initiatives and services to assess quality and effectiveness.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains quality assurance and improvement protocols and standards for public health programs.
  • Prepares and presents regular reports on quality metrics to leadership.
  • Creates and updates policies related to quality management, compliance, and quality improvement.
  • Utilizes data collection and analysis to inform quality improvement strategies.
  • Maintains accurate records of quality assurance activities, audits, and program evaluations.
  • Leads initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Performs compliance audits and inspections to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal public health regulations and accreditation requirements.
  • Prepares reports and recommendations based on audit findings.
  • Provides training and ongoing support to staff on quality assurance and improvement practices and procedures.
  • Collaborates with internal teams, external partners, and community organizations to promote quality improvement initiatives.
  • Fosters a culture of quality improvement within the department.
  • Engages with stakeholders to gather feedback and address concerns.
  • Identifies trends and areas for improvement in public health services based on data and stakeholder feedback.
  • Conducts needs assessments to identify skill gaps and recommends training activities that support quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develops and monitors quality performance indicators to measure program effectiveness and support data driven decision making.
  • Designs and updates instructional materials and learning tools related to quality assurance and quality improvement to support staff competency and performance.
  • Will be required to drive a City vehicle for city business use.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal public health laws and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards (e.g., Public Health Accreditation Board)
  • Knowledge of software and tools used for data management and reporting.
  • Knowledge in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of public health regulations and standards.

  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing in the English language and orally in the Spanish language.
