Box Lunch Houston Galleria is looking for a Part‑Time Assistant Manager – Level 2 to help lead our pop‑culture driven brand. You’ll support the Store Manager in achieving store objectives with regards to hitting sales targets, recruiting, and development. You’ll be a mix of Harry Potter and Luke Skywalker: able to handle anything that comes your way while driving sales and building lifelong relationships with our customers.

Pay range: $12.52/hr – $14.94/hr.
Please note: the pay range may be adjusted based on education, location, experience, and meeting the minimum job requirements.

• Support your Store Manager in achieving the sales plan and/or comp sales goals.
• Help recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative, passionate team.
• Create buzz and customer engagement through promotion of new products, use of social media platforms, and benefits such as BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Provide leadership with a balance of ops, delegation, and customer‑first selling practices.
• Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, and associate schedules.
• Collaboratively communicate with retail leadership and HQ partners on trends & customer feedback.
• Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy to hit sales targets.
• Merchandise the store in a compelling way, launch promos on time, and deliver high‑quality presentation.
• Develop a high‑performing, customer‑focused team with the Store Manager.

• 1–2 years of retail store management experience.
• Proven team‑leading skills and a passion for philanthropy & pop culture.
• Excellent communication, time management, professionalism, and operations skills.
• Minimum age 18.
• High school diploma or GED (degree is a plus).
• Adaptable to a fast‑changing retail environment.
• Physical ability to navigate the store, merchandise, and lift up to 50 pounds.
