Overview

Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team. Compensation ranges from $10.75 to $13.00 per hour with commission opportunities. Earn-ups to 8% on transactions with potential to average an additional $0.76 per hour on top of hourly rate.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store team to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides. The role greets, engages, and assists customers in processing sales, loans, and other transactions. The associate thrives on engaging with customers and assists with inquiries and problem resolution, working with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate earns hourly wages plus commission based on productivity. Final pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greet and interact with customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and display merchandise effectively.
• Process sales and loan transactions in line with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items according to policies and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and teamwork.
• Collaborate with staff to create a positive customer experience.
• Complete assigned training successfully.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Ability to assist customers in exterior areas or retrieve items stored externally.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Must be able to work at multiple locations as needed.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on gross profit of personal performance. More details are provided during the interview process.
