Part‑Time Position without Benefits.

Plans and monitors recreation center activities, such as afternoon summer programs, youth programming, and payment collections. Prepares the recreation center, welcomes community members, and assists them as needed. Takes payments or deposits for facility use. Monitors the recreation center and gymnasium. Ensures the facility is properly cleaned and sanitized in a timely manner for the safety of our community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.

• Organizes, supervises, and monitors activities conducted in the recreation center.
• Monitors activities in the weight room, basketball gym, and boxing gym.
• Assists patrons with registration and payment; inputs information into system; provides information about activities and future events.
• Maintains cleanliness of recreation center; cleans and sanitizes assigned areas.
• Performs related work as required.

Knowledge Of COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE OF JOB DUTIES

• Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods including computers and applicable software.
• Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Knowledge of proper use of cleaning equipment.

Position will have the following exposures:

• Office or similar indoor environment, relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards.

• Frequent exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards. Majority of work performed outside or with exposure to risk.
