CDL-A Regional Hazmat Driver – Laredo, TX
Earn an average of $100,000 per year hauling palletized auto batteries on regional routes from Laredo, Texas
, primarily to Phoenix, Arizona, and back. Get paid $27.50 per hour plus overtime after 40 hours
, with weekly home time and assistance obtaining your hazmat endorsement.
- Hourly Pay: $27.50
- Overtime: Paid after 40 hours per week
- Average Weekly Pay: $1,900+
- Average Annual Pay: $100,000
- Home Time: Weekly
- Schedule: Departures typically Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday, depending on load readiness
- Primary Route: Laredo, TX, to Phoenix, AZ, and return
- Regional dry van operation hauling auto batteries
- Transport palletized batteries and pick up returned battery cores
- Deliver freight using an electric pallet jack
- Operate late-model Freightliner tractors with liftgate trailers
- Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days of hire
- Assistance is available to obtain the hazmat endorsement

- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 9 months of tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
- Must obtain a hazmat endorsement within 60 days of hire
- Must be at least 22 years old
- No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years, subject to restrictions
- No more than 1 DOT-recordable preventable accident in the past 3 years
- FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse profile required before hire
- Must meet English-language requirements for communication, reading traffic signs, responding to official inquiries, and completing reports and records
- Clean driving record
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- No SAP drivers
- Must be able to safely operate liftgate equipment and electric pallet jacks
