Laar & Berg and International School Laren are looking for a teacher of Physics, for ca. 0,8 fulltime equivalent. Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are invited to apply!

As our new colleague in the Science department, you will teach Physics in havo and/or vwo bovenbouw (in Dutch) and in the IB Middle Years Programme (in English). In years 1 and 2, Physics is integrated into the cross-curricular science course, together with Biology and Chemistry. You will work in close cooperation with the science department to further develop the curriculum.

For a highly motivated and well-qualified candidate, there is the possibility to become involved in the development of the Physics curriculum for the IB Diploma Programme.

We are looking for a teacher who:

• has a passion for the natural sciences;
• is motivated to teach in a Dutch bilingual school with an international outlook;
• is willing to integrate the school’s mission and the IB MYP philosophy into his/her lessons;
• uses a variety of (digital) materials in his/her lessons;
• has an excellent command of the English language;
• is a (soon to be) qualified teacher of science, preferably in physics;
• is eligible to live and work in the Netherlands.

About Laar & Berg and International School Laren

Laar & Berg is a Dutch bilingual secondary school. In Years 1 – 3, all students enroll in the international Middle Years Programme (IB MYP). The majority of subjects, including Science/Physics, are taught in English. After Year 3, most students stream into a Dutch (partly bilingual) exam programme. From 2022, students will have the opportunity to opt for the IB Diploma Programme.

International School Laren is the international department of Laar & Berg. At ISL, all lessons are taught in English. After finishing the IB Middle Years Programme, students stream into the IB Diploma Programme.
